What can our service do?

**: Only for payed accounts, reduced possibilities may be available for free account

• No watermarking
  Our customer happiness is what we strive to reach. We do not want to get between you and your users, so we do not past our name over every pictures we produce.
  We believe that you will be happy to mention us if you find us to be up to our words.
• Instant generation of a screenshot in any resolution you want **
  You are the right person to determine which size the picture should have, so we do not enforce any. Except for the free service users who are limited to a 250px by 187px image size.
  Paying customer can choose any resolution they want, from 10px by 10 px to 2000px by 2000px
• Choose the image format and quality **
  You have the choice between a Jpeg image with a compression ratio at your discretion, or a 32 bit PNG picture. Free service user are resticted to a jpeg picture at 50% quality
• You decide if you want to use a cached image or not **
  his function is reserved to payed accounts
• Usage restriction based on accessing computer **
  You can use this service with 2 approaches.
  1. From the server:
     You can access our service with a simple REST request, and store the generated image on your server. Doing this you reduce the bandwith and service usage and are rewarded with a degressive costs for your requests.
  2. From a web page directly:
     By changing your images source to a specific URL, you can leverage our service without modification on your server. But this has the drawback than if 300 person access your page, you will consume 300 credits.
  In the case where you choose to use the first method, you have to possibility to add either a black list or a white list determining which computer have access to the service and which have not.
  This to prevent someone else to use your service subscription.
• Precise browser size control **
  You can choose which size the browser window should be. This is the inner viewport size (the part where the where page is displayed, without any toolbars). This can be used to allow you to capture just a specific part of the web page.
• You choose how long should be the maximum time for the screenshot to be generated**
  With that parameter, you can specify that once the screenshoting process have started, you do not want to wait more than X seconds before taking the screenshot, even if the page is not finished loading.
  This allows you to take a screenshot even if a flash MP3 or video is still loading.
  Free service user have this option fixed to 30 seconds.
• Define a "settling" timeout before taking the screenshot**
  This paramter allows you to force the service to wait for X seconds after the page has finished to load to take the screenshot. This to allow some javascript or flash effect to initialize correctly.
  Free service user have this option fixed to 2 seconds.

• No monthly charges: At web-screenshot.com, you don't buy time on our server to do the screenshots. You buy a certain amount of screenshots. Each time you get 1 screenshot, this amount is decreased of 1 unit for a "real time" screen shot, or a fragment of unit (depending of the package you choosed) if the screenshot was in cache.
  You are always informed of the units left in your package in your customer area, and you can configure alerts to be sent to you if the level goes bleow a certain level.

• Up to 50% reduction: That's right! Depending of your cache hit ratio, we offer you up to 50% reduction on your subscription. The more hits that are done against our cache, the less it will cost you.
